Sailing acros western Istrian coast The main tourist season is over. Late summer is the most beautiful time of the year for a short trip around the northern Adriatic.
Today is the first day of our wanderings. We will sail in the Adriatic Sea from the Savudrija lighthouse in the north of Istria to Cape Kamenjak in the extreme south of the Istria peninsula. The distance we have to sail is 50 miles.
This sailing and cooking will take 8 days. We loaded stocks on Ariki for about that long. Of these stocks, however, the most perishable must be used first. That’s why today’s lunch will consist of the best we have with us.
