Catamaran is held together only by the ropes
Catamaran is held together only by the ropes. Just like any other sail boat, Arki uses alot of rope. This barely 8 metre long catamaran is equipped with half kilometre of different types of rope.
Halyard is made of dynamic 10 mm thick rope, hoists are made out of rope that does not bend or get twisted, mooring ropes are 25 mm thick, they aren’t knitted the classic way, but are twisted and very elastic.
For trampolines, we use plain knit ropes.
The most special ropes are used for tying the hull. Yes, you heard it right, for tying the hull!
